Presiding over the Southeast's most beautiful and powerful scenery carries an inherent responsibility to be good stewards of the land. We want our children and our children's children to enjoy and connect to it as we do. We will fulfill this duty by respecting and protecting the native landscape. We will use Mother Nature as our mentor, and strive to work with the land, not in opposition to it. Our Town Landscape Architects, the firm of Ross Kelly, in conjunction with our Town Horticulturist, Wayne Hitt, will guide us in this endeavor. Beyond safeguarding and honoring the local flora that initially drew us to Gorham's Bluff, this approach will minimize the amount of time and money we must spend to maintain our landscape so that we can spend our energies enjoying the true pleasures of life---friends, family, the arts, recreation, and relaxation.
