A special part of the ambiance of a stay at Gorham’s Bluff is the food.

Dinner is a four-course, chef’s choice gourmet meal served on white tablecloths with flattering candlelight and fresh flowers. You are welcome to bring your own bottle of wine which we will cork and serve for you. Dress is casual. Dinner reservations are required in advance. The first course is served at 7:00 p.m. Vegetarian meals are available on request. Click here for a sample dinner menu.

Breakfast is a classic Southern treat. As Travel & Leisure magazine described it, it is “good enough to stop your heart…” A hearty, indulgent buffet is presented on the sideboard and is accompanied by an egg dish such as a frittata or soufflé, an appropriate side dish, sausage, extra-lean bacon, hot biscuits and gravy, and a fruit combination. Our signature sweet biscuits are served piping hot with true Southern hospitality. Breakfast is served every morning at 8:30 a.m.

Meet the Chef:
Charles P. McCleskey is the Executive Chef at Gorham’s Bluff. Charles received a 4-year Culinary Arts degree from The Philadelphia Restaurant School (a division of the University of Pennsylvania) and a 2-year associates degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the same school. He has extensive chef experience in resort settings having worked at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia; the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama; and the Tan-Tara Resort in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Most recently Charles served as the Executive Chef at the Point Clear Tennis Club in Fairhope, Alabama.
